Friday Night Favorites Including Cultivar Wine Courtesy of Pretty & Fun

Friday Night Favorites by Cait of Pretty & Fun

We are so thrilled that Cait of Pretty & Fun has included Cultivar Wines as part of her Friday Night Favorites. See exerpts from her blog post below and read the entire post on Pretty & Fun here.

"Friday nights are officially my favorite part of the week, but for very different reasons than life in my early twenties. Gone are the days of bar hopping after work or shaking off the workweek with a few too many drinks – you see, Friday nights are now my favorite because they’re my one night to do nothing.

My quiet Friday evenings have become the perfect way to unwind from work and soak in some quiet time before the hustle of the weekend kicks in. In celebration of my favorite part of the week rolling around once again, I wanted to share a peek into my Friday night favorites (aka what you’re likely to find me doing after work tonight!)"

"Workweek Wine-d Down: I swear, wine tastes its absolute best on Friday night! There’s nothing better than opening up a bottle of your favorite wine to enjoy a glass while you relax. I’m obsessed with Cultivar’s Cabernet Franc – it’s a really great full bodied red that has just the right blend of sweet and spicy."

"Read Something Besides Email: I stopped for a second earlier this week and realized Monday-Friday, my life basically revolves around my email inbox. Between work and the blog it’s non-stop which also means that I’m unlikely to read much besides what’s flowing through my inbox throughout the week – depressing! I like to play catch up on life outside of the email world on Friday nights – whether it’s finally flipping through my neglected pile of magazines, starting a new book on my Kindle or taking a trip down memory lane amongst my beloved book collection, it always feels so good to take some time to disconnect."

Thanks to Cait of Pretty & Fun for sharing her enjoyment of wine with her readers. Be sure to visit her site for the entire blog post and to read some of her fabulous content!!

Grass Fed Sirloin Steaks with Spinach Horseradish Pesto Courtesy of Fake Food Free

With how busy we find ourselves these days it's hard to plan a night to stay in and cook for friends and family. We love how Lori of Fake Food Free incorporated an flavorful Grass Fed Sirloin Steak recipe with her most recent Cultivar Wine Club allocation. See more below on Lori's delicious dinner including sustainably farmed Sirloin Steak served with fresh Asparagus and Cultivar Wine.

To read more about this complete pairing and her recipe (shown below) please visit Fake Food Free.

Quoting Lori's Fake Food Free post she says "This one (wine) is unique to me because you really get the flavors of the smoky mocha, vanilla and oak. The deep fruit is there, but takes a bit of a back seat. The tannins are balanced making it smooth and easy to pair with a meal".

The incredible Grass-Fed Steak Lori used in her recipe.

A Simple Wine & Cheese Night Courtesy of Cait of Pretty & Fun

What's the best way to entertain girlfriends and serve a great assortment of delicious food & wine, yet keep it simple? One of our Cultivar Wine Bloggers Cait of Pretty & Fun shared a great post on her blog of doing exactly this. Below is a preview of the post. Please visit Pretty & Fun for the entire story.

Exerpt from the blog post "There are certain things that are just better together. Peanut butter & jelly. Spaghetti & meatballs. Chuck Bass & Blair Waldorf. The list goes on. For me, one of my all-time favorite pairings happens to be wine and cheese. There’s just nothin’ better than snacking on a cheese plate with a glass of wine in hand."

To celebrate one of the greatest pairings of all time and make the most of our new apartment’s amenities, I wanted to throw a little afterwork wine and cheese night to catchup with girlfriends and unwind from the week and while at first pulling it all together seemed a bit intimidating, it was actually as easy as can be. A look at how it can be easily done.

I tend to feel a little lost while browsing the wine aisle – there are just SO many options, brands and vintages. To keep it simple and set a theme for the night I grabbed several bottles of Cultivar Wine; it was really fun to try a new vineyard together and taste the differences between vintages. Their Cabernet Sauvignon’s were so good (and I’m typically more of a Pinot Noir kind of girl!)

Read the full story on Pretty & Fun here. We hope you have a great party and enjoy yourself. Cheers to delicious wine, great food and fabulous company!
