Our Vineyards

Cultivar sources fruit from superb California vineyards in Anderson Valley, Oakville, Russian River Valley, Napa Valley, and North Coast to produce our Cultivar Wines. Cultivar’s farming team organically farms the Leaky Lake vineyard and is overseen by our winemaker Julien Fayard.

Our Caspar Estate wines are produced from fruit grown exclusively at our estate vineyard in the Napa Valley. Our same farming team organically farms Caspar Estate just down the road from Leaky Lake.

Caspar Estate Vineyard

Our vineyard rests on a hillside overlooking Napa Valley. Planted above the Rutherford Appellation 600 feet above the fog line with an exposure 20 degrees off north. The site sees sun from early morning until late afternoon, ensuring even ripeness of the grapes. Cool nights help to develop firm tannins and fresh acidity creating remarkable structure and balance in the finished wines. Our rocky serpentine soils benefit from a mineral deposit rich in iron and magnesium. This distinctive mineral deposit provides layers of complexity and flavor to wines unique to our site.

All of these factors, along with the way we organically grow and care for our vines, distinguishes us as Caspar Estate.
